Lumberjanes is a comic series co created by She Ra and the Princesses of Power creator Noelle Stevenson. This comic is actually why I got into She Ra in the first place (that and seeing the really gay scene on Instagram).
It's a really amazing comic with really amazing LGBT+ representation, mental health representation, complex characters, and interesting plot that even tackles things like conversion therapy and child abuse.
My favorite character would have to be Mal, one of the 5 main characters (The Roanokes : Jo, April, Ripley, Mal, Molly) of the comic. A lot of her arc revolves around her dealing with her anxiety, which I think was handled very well. Also her and Molly are just the most adorable couple.
Jo would probably be my second favorite of the Roanokes. She's very strategic and definitely the brains of the group. And yet she doesn't feel like your classic smart character (Entrapta, Dendy, Peridot, etc.) Like yes she's a huge nerd but very chill about it. Kinda like Logan from Sanders' Sides. She is also canonically MTF transgender, and also has 2 dads, one of which is James Bond.
Ripley is a wacky twelve year old with ADHD (technically not stated in canon as far as I know but if you read it, you'll know exactly what I mean) who causes constant chaos. Very wholesome character.
There's Molly, who is a bit more complex. Without going too far into spoiler territory, let's just say that her parents (specifically her mother) are not exactly the best (to put it lightly), and out of fear, she does something really bad. Very interesting character.
Then, there's April. I personally find her annoying but that's just me. She is very short and for some unknown reason has super strength (and it's barely even mentioned. It's just a weird thing).
Anyways, very good series. I would recommend buying them as the volumes you can find on Amazon, which combine groups of issues into booklets. The first 16 volumes are currently available to buy on Amazon (and a few more after that are available for preorder). If you're not too confident about paying, there are some scans of it online, as well as comic dubs for the first 3 issues (which covers most of volume 1)
